Sebastien Perrault


sebastien_-perrault_openflr_2017Sebastien Perrault began his dance training at the Conservatory of Angers. In 2000, he joined the Young International Ballet of Cannes, Rosella Higthower.
In 2001 he joined the Ballet Junior de Genève for two years and performed there Mozart à 2 and Gnossiennes by Thierry Malandain, First Impression by Ruth Barnes, Douce Amère by Kirsten Debrock and Sean Wodd, Rôles Titres by Pascal Rubble and Prisca Harch.
In 2004, he participated in the French tour of the Jeune Ballet du Québec and danced the choreographies of Helen Blackburn Etudes sur quelques caprices and Christophe Garcia Lo Sposalizio. He also danced with Esther Aumatell for Flowers of Romance.

From 2005 to 2008, he performed in the Pietragalla Company for the creations of Conditions Humaines 2006. This collaboration continued for Conditions Humaines and Sade ou le théâtre des fous. He joined in 2009 the CFB 451 Company for the creation Résistance au droit. He dances for Blanca Li in Le Jardin des délices at the Montpellier Dance Festival 09. Between 2010 and 2011, he performed within the project On Air with the post-rock group Guns of Brixton for the company Shayela and with the Thomas Duchâtelet Company in Demain j’ai rencontré et A demain (French-Japanese Kobe creation). In 2011, he began his collaboration with Aurélien Kairo, De-Fakto Company as choreographic assistant for the solo N. And he performed in Rois by Gilles Baron at the Arcachon Festival 2013.
In 2012, he joined the Olivier Dubois’ Company for the creation Tragédie at the Avignon Festival. He continued the collaboration with Dubois at the Ballet du Nord for the solo Les mémoires d’un seigneur and then for Auguri, created for La Biennale de Lyon 2016.

Alongside his performing career, in 2004 he founded  the Company Sebastien Perrault, presenting Né(e)(s) hermaphrodite(s). Subsequently, he created L’Ardent (2004), La dépouille de Narcisse (2005), Felles (2007). In 2010 he devised and performed Cain in the Festival Temps d’Aimer in Biarritz. In May 2016, following the workshops at the MPAA Paris he creates the piece À l’oeil nu for 19 amateur dancers.

He is invited to create Le vaste enclos des songes for the Ballet de l’Opéra National du Rhin. The 1st show will take place in June 2017.
