Edan Gorlicki

Noorderzon Random Collision. HUNGEREdan’s work always explores psychological and emotional realms. His work demands from his dancers high levels of physical awareness and performance presence. Improvisational tools take a large part in the research and creation process and in live action on stage as well. The source of physicality comes from enhancing the natural movement abilities of the dancers themselves; transforming and molding the dancers’ bodies. Edan brings out the passion and desire out of the people he works with and at the same time, challenges their thought process and attention span. The combination of these two can bring out the most out of his dancers and fulfill the utmost potential physically, theatrically and perfomatively.

He danced for Batsheva Ensemble Dance Company, Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak Dance Theater, NND/Galilidance and Club Guy and Roni, performing works by Ohad Naharin, Inbal Pinto, Sharon Eyal, Itzik Galili, Paul Selwyn Norton, Emmanuel Gat, Guy Weizman and Roni Haver and many more.He is the co-founder and first resident choreographer of Random Collision, Groningen and has choreographed works on numerous companies such as: Sasha Waltz and Guests, NND/Galilidance, Noord Nederlandse Dans and De Noorderlingen.
